GURIELI
The idea of creating the Gurieli tea brand was born in 2008. The next two years were spent intensively working on setting up production, recruiting personnel, coordinating work with workers and farmers, financial institutions, government officials and international partners, marketing companies, suppliers and consultants. In 2010, the first packs of Gurieli green tea bags made from premium quality leaves went on sale in all stores in Georgia. Since then, we have not stopped working on the development and improvement of this umbrella brand. Every day, step by step, working with all our dedication, we strive to achieve our goal: to provide the world with a natural health drink of the millennium from the best, ecologically clean tea plantations of Georgia. We are always ready for close and fruitful cooperation with our esteemed customers, employees and society, contributing to their healthy and happy life. We proudly want to present the best Georgian tea brand: Gurieli - Born in Georgia.
Georgia's geographical location, where climate conditions and temperatures change dramatically between summer and winter, determines the character of Georgian tea. The number of sunny days in Georgia, the optimal average annual temperature (+ 12.5 - + 14.7 C) and the subtropical climate contribute to the emergence of unique qualities of the tea leaf. The strong contrast between day and night temperatures during the period when tea shoots begin to appear causes the appearance of aromatic substances in the tender shoots of the plant, creating a complex bouquet of aromas unique to Georgian tea. There are no diseases of tea bushes and therefore there is no need to use pesticides and herbicides. This is why our Georgian tea is ecologically clean. It is noteworthy that Georgia played an important role in the study of tea cultivation throughout the world. Georgian scientist Ksenia Bakhtadze was the first to confirm the principle that different varieties of tea can be crossed to create plants with unique characteristics. Using the generation selection method, she managed to create more than 16 hybrid varieties characterized by high frost resistance and economic efficiency.
